Moldovan carpet collection

The museum also has the most representative collection of Moldovan carpets (sf.sec.XVIII-XX) According to the functional purpose, the character of the ornamentation and the technique of making the carpets are of several types: large wall carpets (bark, carpet, Hungarian, war, kilim, rumba, polog), narrow carpets that hung on wall above the countertop (wall, wide, wall road, pile), carpet for laying the countertop, bed (laicer, cergă, niţurcă, şatrancă). There are also many local variants of the laicer and the pareter.
