The collection of folk costumes consists of shirts, belts, catrints, bounces, itari, sum ane, headscarves, aprons, skirts, shoes made by local craftsmen, jewelry and clothing accessories. It dates from the 19th-20th centuries and contains many authentic pieces, made by craftsmen, as well as newer ones, made on industrial canvas, but where the ornaments and the traditional chromatic range are used. The collection represents the traditions of the ethnographic areas of the Republic of Moldova, as well as of Bessarabia.
