In an original way, one of the most valuable pieces in the museum is exhibited here - the complete skeleton of a specimen of Dinoterium giganteum, which lived on the territory of Moldova with 7 thousand. years ago. It is a unique exhibit in the republic and in Europe, because it is the only integral skeleton of such a species. In the perimeter of the hall are exhibited samples that demonstrate the diversity of fossil flora and fauna from the Miocene, which coexisted with this giant proboscidian in the Prut-Dniester area.
